Dash and Cue can drive on carpet, but prefers smooth surfaces. The thicker the carpet, the harder it will be for their wheels to move. The robots' speed is calibrated on a very flat and smooth surface. Any carpet will create friction which slows them down, and might result inaccurate distance traveled
