How does my robot know when to grip or release an object?

The Gripper Building Kit commands in the apps are very simple: open arms or close arms. That means when writing a program to use Gripper Building Kit, you'll need to figure out the right time to activate the arms.

You might have your robot move a specific distance toward the object you want to grip, then close the arms to grip it.
